About us |
Cady's Citrus & Gifts Inc, FKA Cady's Grove, was established in the early 1940's in what was then a remote area of Sarasota County called 'Bee Ridge'. 35 acres of navel oranges, tangelos, & grapefruit were planted. In the 1960's the grove was purchased by Ross Cady of upstate NY. Back then, a bushel of oranges shipped north was a mere $4.95! |
| The grove has been in the family ever since. It was taken over in the 1970's by Ross's daughter, Liz Cady-Canfield and her family, and is still in operation under the hands of her son, Ross Canfield. Sadly, grove land is quickly disappearing in Florida but Ross plans on toughing out the wheels of progress and will continue to supply the best Florida citrus fruits from the Gulf Coast! |
